Thank you, Lilly!

The death of Lilly Pulitzer, this week at age 81, has made me think about how grateful I am for her influences in my own life for so many years. Back in high school, when I was first designing needlepoint canvases (yes - over 40 years ago), I lived in "Lilly" and was very aware of colors and designs through her creative eyes. Last year, I developed my own "Lilly-Inspired Original Designs" collection of needlepoint canvases and have been steadily adding to it. It has been one of the most fun and rewarding lines I've ever worked on. Watch for lots more to come, in the next couple of months, as my homage to a great visionary in design, and one of my heros.....  Thank you, Lilly!

By popular request...

Since we have received a number of requests for mini patchwork madras whales & hearts, I have designed two (with more colors to come.) They had to be a little bigger than the regular minis I do, in order to get in the level of detail needed. Therefore, we now have a NEW size category - Large Minis!

Here are the first two in this size group:

Eliza B. Pucci sandals!

I can't wait for spring, since I just received my gorgeous, finished Eliza B. sandals, from Voila. They are made from my Pucci-inspired Waves & Dots belt, CBK # KSH-BL05.

Now, I'll have to quickly stitch the coordinating cuff for a matching set!

The first seven of our Heart-of-the-Month Club selections have been beautifully finished by Christine's Osterville Needlepoint Shop. Five more have been stitched and will soon be finished to add to this delightful collection. Look at what a gorgeous job they did!

I can picture these all strung on a pretty pink & green grosgrain ribbon, along the wall of a little girl's room or nursery, as the beginning of a future Christmas ornament collection for her.
